DJ Tab D’Bia$$i is a native of Paterson, NJ & an alumni of Eastside “Lean On Me” HS. Tab has 30 years of DJ experience under his belt ranging from all genres of music. Even though he started DJ’ing his freshman year in high school, Tab rose to the likes of a true “party rocker” by his junior year by doing school parties, events, & making personalized mix-tapes for lunch sessions at school.

After finally solidifying a DJ name that he borrowed from former wrestler Ted DiBiase, it was time to make his mark on the party scene as well as the mix-tape market. Throughout the mid to late 90’s Tab opened up for some of the top DJ’s at the time like Doo-Wop, Spinderella, Big Kap, S&S, KG of Naughty X Nature, & Chuck Chill-Out just to name a few. The difference with Tab was instead of just opening up, he left the same imprint the headliner would which garnered him a fan base as well as admirers of his craft.

Amongst one of his main admirers was Chuck Chill-Out. Chuck was a radio DJ who was a running mate of Red Alert & gave Funk Master Flex his big break at radio. He took Tab under his tutelage by letting him open up for his private events. One which included DJ’ing his birthday party which was broadcast live from Club Groove on WBLS FM.

As the 90’s went, so did Tab as he relocated to North Carolina in February of 2000. His imprint was immediately felt & respected by the masses. By ’02 Tab was doing most of the areas biggest college parties, events, & Homecomings. That list included Johnson C. Smith, Appalachian State, Clemson University, South Carolina Upstate, Livingstone, Winthrop University & Clinton College. The same year also marked the start of Tab’s internship at Power 98 where he’s currently employed under the Beasley umbrella.

While at Power 98, Tab has won “mix-show DJ of the year”, “best part-time personality”, & released series of mix-tapes with artists such as Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Musiq, Bobby V, Mya, Soulja Boy, & Cassie just to name a few. Currently, he can be heard on Power 98’s sister station V-101.9 on the V5 with ‘Bad Boys of Comedy’ Tone-X. Monday through Friday(4:45pm-6pm), or you can catch him DJ’ing Live Nation, AEG, or North American events on their Carolina run.
