DJ Tab D’Bia$$i is a Paterson, NJ native that relocated to the Carolina’s in early 2000. Tab is a graduate of the infamous Eastside High School(Lean On Me) & a product of Principal Joe Clark.
Tab has been DJ’ing for over 30 years & has adopted the moniker “milliondolladj” from former WWF wrestler Ted D’Biase the “million dollar man”. After relocating to the South, Tab started DJ’ing local skating rinks, clubs, house parties, events, hotel parties, etc.
After getting notoriety as an entertaining DJ, Tab linked up with radio legend Nate Quick of Power 98 who offered Tab an intern position. Around the same time Tab became the official events DJ for most of the colleges in the Carolina region. These colleges include Winthrop, JCSU, Appalachian State, Clemson, USC Spartanburg, USC Orangeburg, Livingstone, & Clinton College.
While gaining notoriety on the streets, Tab was offered a job on Power 98 as a personality/mixshow DJ after 2 years of being an intern. During his 15 year tenure at Power 98 & sister station V-101.9, the “milliondolladj” started a mix-tape series hosted by top national recording artists such as Rick Ross, Jeezy, Cassie, Bobby V, Mya, Scrappy, Soulja Boy, Franchise Boyz, Young Dro, just to name a few… all while maintaining #1 Nielson ratings for his on-air time slots.
2019 marked the year of COVID-19 & the year Tab’s radio career ended after being furloughed for 1 year, then laid off shortly after.
2024 marks the year that Tab’s hard work was recognized, by being inducted into the radio Hall Of Fame through the National Black Radio/Charlotte Chapter after receiving a membership knod in ’03.
Currently, Tab has been DJ’ing some of the biggest concerts/events/comedy shows that come through the Queen City at Bojangles Arena, Ovens Auditorium, The Fillmore, Underground, Blumenthal Arts Center, Skyla Credit Union, Amphitheater & Spectrum Arena. Tab’s also preparing for tour dates with national comedians Sommore, T.K. Kirkland & North American Entertainment.
